Hey there! I wanted to share my Village of Cuteness that I finally finished not too long ago. This was an extra class that I had signed up for at Convention. I didn't get close to finishing it during the actual class. They only gave us 2 1/2 hours! Umm...it took me quite a lot longer than that. But it's so worth it because it really looks so adorable on my mantle at home. If you've ever been to my house, you would say that it matches the style very well. I have a lot of wood and neutral colors, kinda cabiny feel to my house. I love, love, love it! :) Below are close ups of each house...

Just For You Petal Cone

 

Here's another project from the last Sizzler meeting I attended. It uses the Petal Cone Bigz Die that is still available for order! It does use the retired Springtime paper, but you can substitue other DSP. I never ended up ordering this, but I really do love how girly and vintage-y it is. This would be great for a bridal shower favor or even a wedding favor.I think my mom would really like this theme since she's way more girly than I am. I'm learning to appreciate the inner feminine girl in me, though :)

Growing up, my mom and I definitely clashed A LOT! My mom raised me with what I considered very strict rules. You can't tell because I'm so mild-mannered (ha!), but I have quite a temper. Anyways, a long story short and many years later, my mom and I are great friends now. I definitely appreciate her way more as an adult than as a child. She is the strongest, most determined and loving person I know. She taught me great habits and great morals. She's funny and loves to have fun and laugh. She is the best bargain shopper i know and she's an awesome cook. Steve loves her food WAY more than my cooking! I notice that the older I get, the more I am like my mom, and the more I realize she's right a lot of the time. Shhhh...don't tell her that! :) I'm so proud of who she is and so proud to be her daughter. Happy Mother's Day mom! I love you!!

Treat Basket

Hey there! Today's swap is of a cute treat basket that I believe is made with the Scallop Envelope Die. Super cute! This would be great not only for Easter, but as favors for a shower, office gift, teacher's gifts...the possibilities are endless! 

I'm going to try and work on some cards this weekend, so let's hope I find my mojo by then! I'm meeting up with friends soon to work on Convention swaps, so I should at least figure out what I'm going to make, right?? Good excuse to have to hunker down and stamp!

Gift Card Pocket Card

 Today I have a fun way to give someone a gift card. Instead of putting the gift card inside of the card, why not make it a part of your card! This is a simple card with a pocket on the front. If you look closely, you will see the Starbucks GC sticking out behind the "Thanks". Hope this gives you some new inspiration on how to package a gift card. Have a great day!

Happy Valentine's Day! Do you have plans with your loved one today? 

Above you're looking at what I did for a good long while yesterday. Fun, fun times being creative. I made 12 mailboxes with treats. A couple of years ago, when I first discovered these mailboxes, I was so excited and thought they'd never have them again. So I did what ever fanatic, horading crafter would do...I stocked up! I bought 30 mailboxes! Come to find out, Target has these mailboxes every year around Valentine's day. Jokes on me, huh? :) Anyways, I'm super excited because I used up all of them except one. It only took me about 4 years! Lol.

 I wrapped each mailbox with a piece of Love Impressions DSP. Tied a piece of Going Grey Taffeta Ribbon around the flag and hung a little red heart. The heart was cut out from the Hearts and Brackets Die. For the treat, I wrapped 4 Hurshey Nugget and glued them onto a little Pink Pirouette card. The whole card is in one of our plastic bags. Isn't it so cute?? I was so excited when I made the first one.

Quick Valentine Treat

 
I had a couple of these cute heart tins on hand that I got at a bridal shower a while ago. I decided to dress it up a bit with some Love Impressions DSP and Rub-ons. I love how these items coordinate! This project seriously took me only a couple of minutes to do. I think you can get these tins at Michaels in the wedding section. How cute would it be to make these for your friends? Fill it up with some pink M&M's. Quick, simple and cute!

Fridge Magnets

Hi! Happy Friday!

This weekend, one of Steve's good friend is getting married. So, so excited for them and super happy that the weather cleared up! I'll be sure to post pictures next week! What are your exciting plans for the weekend? Leave a comment, I'd love to know!

Today I wanted to show you a project I did that was based on another project I saw online. It was so cute that I had to recreate it using SU! only products.

 
How cute is that!!! This would make such a cute gift for someone. Isn't it darling packaged up in one of our cellophane bags? I love it! I keep staring at it on my desk. I know this doesn't use the Big Shot, but I may just do this as one of the projects in the November Christmas Gifts class. *wink*

As you may have guessed, it uses clothespins and is covered with Play Date DSP. Now the back is what is so cool. I used some of the magnet sheets that we sell (it's on the page with all the Big Shot accessories) and stuck it on the back. That way someone can stick it on the fridge and click coupons, kids art work, reminders, etc. to it. And it's really so easy to make.

Greenhouse Gala Notepad

Good morning!

Just a quick post today. This notebook was made during my Hostess Appreciation night two weekends ago. I love the Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper and the bold images. It makes such a great focal point all on it's own. I'm going to be showing you more of this paper in the days to come. The notebook pattern was downloaded from Nichole Heady's blog. I LOVE her work! She totally inspires me!

The butterfly was die cut with the Butterfly Big Shot die using felt and a cute button from the new Brights Button collection.

Pretty simple and straightforward, but again, the DSP really makes the difference. If you'd like to make this notebook too, let's do a workshop together. You and your friends can have a fun night and make these cute little notebooks together!

Special Guest and a Congratulations!

Before I share today's card, I just want to first say CONGRATULATIONS to my friend and customer Patsie. She hosted a workshop last Saturday and it was such a great success! As many of us, she was hesitant to hold a workshop, not knowing if anyone would come or order. But I'm happy to say her fears were laid to rest! We totaled her workshop yesterday and she was blown away by how many free stamps and merchandise she qualified for. So I just want to give her a little shout out here on the blog. I'm so happy for her :)

Today, we have a special guest. My friend and downline Helen shared with me some Halloween treats and cards she made that are just too cute not to share. I met Helen about a year ago and she has quickly become a great friend. I'm so lucky to be able to talk to her not just about stamping, but about life in general. That's one of the great things that I love most about stamping. It introduces you to new people and brings you together in ways that you never possible before.
